Hi, I’m Katherine
I’ve been a teacher for 16 years. I studied Education and specialized in teaching English, which means I know exactly where English speakers get stuck in Spanish, and how to explain it so it makes sense.
For the past six years I’ve taught Spanish online to students from around the world. My classes are calm, organized and encouraging. You’ll never be rushed, and you’ll never feel silly for asking a question twice.
I teach from Peru and bring the Spanish and culture of Latin America into every lesson, so what you learn sounds natural in real life.
Questions
Do I need to know any Spanish already?
No. I teach complete beginners and people who already know some Spanish. In the free consultation we find your starting point together.
Can you explain things in English?
Yes. I’m a trained English teacher, so I can explain grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation in English whenever it helps, and use less English as you progress.
Are the lessons private?
Yes. Every lesson is one-on-one, just you and me, planned around your goals.
How do the online classes work?
We meet by video call at the time we agree on. You only need a computer or tablet with a camera and a good internet connection.
How long is each class?
One hour. If you prefer a different length, we can talk about it.
Do you use a textbook?
I use carefully chosen readings, exercises, videos and materials I prepare for you, so the plan follows your goals instead of a single book.
What if I need to miss a class?
Let me know at least 24 hours before and we’ll find another time that month.
Can I change or pause my plan?
Yes. You can move to a different plan or pause at the start of any month.
